Lena Wu

A native of China, Lena Wu was born into a farming family in China and was far removed from the glitz of  city life. Surrounded by nature, mountains, and waterfalls, her playground was the great outdoors.    This connection with nature not only nurtured her spirit but also, as she believes, gave her a unique vocal gift. It was a gift, however, that remained unpolished until her family’s move to a small city and their improved financial situation allowed her to begin formal music lessons during her high school years.

Lena’s music carries a message of love, inspiration, and the belief that classical opera can be as exciting and diverse as any contemporary genre. From baroque to contemporary cabaret, she aims to ignite new sensations in her listeners, urging them to experience and embrace the elegance and casual charm of opera.

 

Amidst the kaleidoscope of dreams that is New York  City, Ms. Wu shines as an emblem of hope and determination. Her story, originating from the simplicity of a rural Chinese village and culminating on the illustrious stages of NYC, embodies a journey of steadfast perseverance, innate talent, and an unwavering commitment to pursuing her dreams.

 

Her story tells us that regardless of how late one starts or how many obstacles lie in the path, the pursuit of dreams is always worthy.
