Ya Han Chang

Ya Han Chang was born on December 28th in Taichung, Taiwan.    After receiving her BFA and MA degrees in vocal performance (Opera) from the prestigious Taipei National University of the Arts, she moved to New York to further pursue her passion for song and dance.  She extended her theatrical training by attending the American Musical and Drama Academy and graduated with distinction in March, 2009.

Ya Han's solid background in operatic studies combined with her rigorous  transitional training
in musical theater has helped Ya Han develop a unique sense of musicality and she is more than ready to share her talents and enthusiasm with the musical world.

In May, 2009, Ya Han landed the role of Lady Thiang in the regional production of "The King and I" at Lyric Stage in Irving, Texas.  Since then, she has appeared in numerous productions including "Miss Saigon", "April Rain', "The Merchant of Venice", "Sinbad - The Treasure of the Pirate King" and "Little Red Riding Hood" while her voice can also be heard in the Chinese version of Dreamworks movie,  "Shrek 2", as well.

Although still very active in theater, Ms. Chang will be extending her singing talents as a solo recording artist and is planning the release of her own first debut CD.  When she is not performing on the stage or singing in the recording studio, Ya Han shares her love of the performing arts by sharing her knowledge, experience and training with younger students as both a voice coach and teacher.

2020 looks to be the year this gifted singer and actress shares her love of life with the world through her voice, acting and most importantly, her heart!
